    Tomoyuki Izumi is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He joined GCA Savvian in July 2008. He has 10 years of M&A advisory experience. Prior to joining GCA Savvian, he was most recently a Vice President in the M&A Group of Lehman Brothers. He started his investment banking career with M&A Advisory Group of Morgan Stanley. He has involved in a number of cross-border M&A transactions, including Kirin's acquisition of National Foods from San Miguel, Kenwood's acquisition of Zetron, Sony's going-private transaction of Aiwa, Toshiba / Toshiba Elevator's strategic alliance with KONE, Sony's establishment of its JV in the mobile phone business with Ericsson (Sony Ericsson), Sony's privatization of its listed subsidiaries (Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Precision Technology and Sony Chemical). He was graduated magna cum laude and beta gamma sigma from American University in 1998, where he majored in International Finance.

  • vCardHajimu Sato

    Hajimu Sato is an Associate of GCA Savvian Corporation. He joined GCA Savvian in September 2008.  Prior to joining GCA Savvian, he was most recently a Vice President at Lazard.  Prior to Lazard he worked for Lehman Brothers and Mizuho Securities.  He started his investment banking career at Nikko Securities in 1999.  He has been involved in a number of M&A transactions including cross-border, hostile takeover defense and restructuring.  He received his B.A. in law from Keio University.

    Takashi Sekiguchi is an Associate of GCA Savvian Corporation. A graduate of Tokyo University, he majored in Engineering. He began his career at IBM Japan, providing technological support services of system management products as a systems engineer. Subsequently, he joined Ernst & Young Shin Nihon, where he provided audit services and Sarbanes-Oxley Act consulting services. He is a Japanese Junior CPA. He joined GCA in February 2006.

    Fumitoshi Kusabuka is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. A graduate of Hosei University, he majored in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. He joined Showa Ota & Co. (currently Ernst &Young Shin Nihon) in October 1997. He is a Japanese CPA and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (METI).

    Masaaki Sato is an Associate of Mezzanine Corporation. He performed legal audit and IPO consulting work at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu beginning in 2003, and joined GCA in November 2005 and joined Mezzanine Corporation in May 2006.

Prior to joining Mezzanine Corporation, he worked for Asahi Audit (currently KPMG AZSA & Co.), where his responsibilities included IPO support, legal auditing of several industries, and financial due diligences.  He joined GCA Co., Ltd. in February 2006 and then joined Mezzanine Corporation in January 2007. He is a Japanese CPA and has extensive M&A experience.

    Kumi Kobayashi is an Associate of Mezzanine Corporation. She joined KPMG’s auditing services in 2002, where she was engaged in the statutory audit of financial institutions and non-bank financial companies.  She joined GCA in September 2006 and then joined Mezzanine Corporation in January 2007. Japanese CPA.
    She received B.A. in Economics from Hitotsubashi University.

    Akito Ohara is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. His prior working experiences include corporate valuation and support in credit valuation and business plan structuring at Brain Link Corporation. Prior to joining at Brain Link Corporation in November 2004, he worked for Shoko Chukin Bank since April 1997. He joined GCA Savvian in April 2008.

    Toshio Yoshino is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corpration. A graduate of Keio University, Toshio Yoshino majored in Economics. He started his career at UFJ Bank (formerly known as Sanwa Bank). He engaged in foreign exchange trades such as direct deals and currency options as a customer dealer. He joined GCA in March 2005.

He has worked with companies in many notable transactions in various industries including electric machinery, automotive parts and the amusement sector. A graduate of Doshisha University, Kenichi Ito majored in Economics and obtained an MBA in Financial Strategy from the International Corporate Strategy of Graduate School of Hitotsubashi University. He started his career with a Japanese listed telecommunications equipment trading company and was engaged in corporate planning and venture investment activities. He joined GCA in September 2006.

    Takashi Misato is an Associate of GCA Savvian Corpration. He joined GCA Savvian in April 2008. Prior to GCA Savvian, he started his career with Accenture and subsequently worked for PwC Advisory where he was engaged in M&A valuation. He also worked for a venture capital and experienced active involvement to the portfolio companies through his management roles. M.A. of Engineering in physical chemistry from Waseda University.

    Hisanori Wakimaru is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corpration. Prior to joining GCA Savvian, Hisanori Wakimaru provided M&A advisory services at Daiwa Securities SMBC and Morgan Stanley. His work has focused upon mergers, divestitures and group restructurings. He has worked on deals in the various industries including food service, logistics, transportation and financials and others. He joined GCA Savvian in June 2008. He graduated from Keio University, where he majored in Economics.

    Taizo Okawa is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corpration. A graduate of Osaka University, Taizo Okawa majored in Engineering. He began his career at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (currently West Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) where he worked on a project related to broadband content delivery. He received his MBA from Kobe University in September 2006. He joined GCA in January 2007.

    Shigeru Harada is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He graduated from the Science University of Tokyo, majoring in Technology and received his MBA in Accounting and Finance from Georgia State University in 1999. Before joining GCA, he worked for The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (currently The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ) where he worked in various departments including business development, foreign exchange and treasury. Shigeru Harada joined GCA in May 2007.

    Masaru Yamada is an Associate of GCA Savvian Corpration. He earned his MBA from the Ross School of the University of Michigan and received his B.A. in Economics from Waseda University. Prior to joining GCA, he spent 9 years with Panasonic where he was engaged in strategic planning for the Great China Region at Panasonic Electronic Devices. His projects at Panasonic included transforming the Sino-Japanese joint venture into a wholly Japanese-owned enterprise. In addition, he worked in the marketing group of Matsushita Electric Industrial’s Components and Devices where he had the opportunity to interact with the world’s top technology firms.

    Yoshio Tsutsushio is an Associate of GCA Savvian Corpration. He joined GCA in September 2007. Prior to joining GCA, he worked in the audit group at Ernst & Young Shin Nihon. Prior to this, he worked for the mobile terminals business unit in NEC Corporation from 1998 to 2005, where he was responsible for strategic business planning and venture investments. Yoshio Tsutsushio earned an MSBA from San Francisco State University and received his BA in International Economics from Chuo University.     Atsushi Kiyoto is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He started his career at Obayashi Corporation in 1997 where he worked in human resource management and civil engineering and construction administration. He later joined Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in April 2002, where he experienced statutory and voluntary auditing. He joined GCA in September 2007. US CPA.

    Nobuko Takagi is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corpration. She joined GCA in 2007. Prior to joining GCA, she worked for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu where she provided audit services, Sarbanes Oxley consulting services, financial due diligence services and valuation advisory services to both domestic and multinational companies in various industries. Subsequently, she transferred to the Tax Group of Deloitte and specialized in Transfer Pricing consulting services. She has broad experience assisting leading multinational companies with managing overseas operations through bilateral Advanced Pricing Agreements, constructing global transfer pricing policy and risk assessment services. Nobuko Takagi qualified as a Japanese Certified Public Accountant in 2002. She graduated from Kobe University (Department of Cross Cultural Studies)

    Kenji Kimura is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corpration. He joined GCA in January 2008. Prior to joining the team, he worked as a Manager in the business development department at GE Consumer Finance for 3 years, focusing on Merger and Acquisition opportunities for the retail consumer finance industry. Previous to this role, Kenji Kimura spent 2 years as a financial analyst in the industrial and capital service divisions within GE. He has also worked at SMBC as a banker and is a US CPA holder. He received his degree from the Osaka University of Foreign Studies.

    Yoshihiro Homma is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He received a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering from Tohoku University and joined the Film Laboratory of Toray Industries Inc. where he was in charge of the polymerization of polyester. In 2004, he was involved in a national project by Japan Chemical Innovation Institute where he was in charge of nanoparticle synthesis and characterization. He joined GCA in July 2005

    Kiyomi Sugiura is an Associate of GCA Savvian Corporation. She joined in GCA Savvian in June 2008. Prior to joining in GCA Savvian, she spent 8 years at Sumitomo Corporation where she worked in the export group, focusing on the export of automobile tires to Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Her role involved managing foreign distributors and investing in foreign joint ventures. Additionally, she has the additional experience of having interned in the M&A/Financial Sponsors Group of a foreign investment bank. She earned her MBA degree from University of Michigan in 2008. Her achievements include an award for an MBA Related Cup Private Equity Case Competition. She received B.A. in Economics from Hitotsubashi University with 3 years meritorious scholarship. She speaks English, Chinese and Japanese.

    Takehito Kobayashi is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation.He joined GCA Savvian in October 2008.   Prior to joining GCA, he worked for the tax group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he provided tax advisory services related to M&A transactions, including corporate reorganizations and cross-border transactions. He is a Japanese tax accountant.  Takehito Kobayashi graduated from Keio University with a B.A. in Economics.

    Kang Hee Ko is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He earned his MBA in 2006 from Keio Business School. He also received a BA in Economics from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea. in 2002. Upon graduation from Yonsei, he joined the Kumbi Corporation, a major cosmetic company in Korea and was engaged in planning and management.     Ko Maeda is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. Prior to joining GCA, Ko Maeda was engaged in the venture capital business at Aozora Investment, a subsidiary of Aozora Bank, which he joined in 2005. At Aozora Investment, his responsibilities included deal sourcing, due diligence, negotiation on terms and conditions, execution and post-investment value-creation activities. Ko Maeda earned a Master’s Degree in international affairs from Ritsumeikan University as well as American University.

    Naonori Hisata is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He joined DIAM Co., Ltd. in August 2000 and then Alliance Capital Asset Management (Japan) Ltd. (currently AllianceBernstein Japan Ltd.) in June 2003. Prior to joining GCA Savvian in April 2008, he joined Brain Link Corporation in June 2006, where he experienced numerous due diligence transactions.

    Akiyoshi Morishita is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He began his career at The Dai-ichi Kangyo Bank, Ltd. (currently Mizuho Bank) in April 1996.     Toshihiro Suezawa is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. Prior to joining, he worked for Asahi Audit (currently KPMG AZSA & Co.) and KPMG FAS where he provided services for statutory audit, due diligence, risk measurement, fraud investigation, SOX. He was also engaged in project management for enforcing market risk management system at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. He joined GCA Savvian in June 2009.
    He graduated from the Chiba University, majoring in Economics, and received MBA of Finance, Accounting, and Law from Waseda University.

    Tomohito Ishihara is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. Prior to GCA Savvian, he had been engaged in consulting at Andersen Consulting Tokyo Office (current Accenture Co.,Ltd.) and Japanese consulting firm, where he served Japanese and Taiwanese clients in multiple industries such as retail, manufacturing, biotech, environmental, and other industries. With nearly 10 years experience, his focus areas include IPO consulting, corporate turnaround, and development of post-investment business value.
    He received his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also holds Master of Laws (LL.M) from Northwestern University School of Law.

    Shotaro Ishikawa is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington, and began his career at Ernst & Young LLP (San Francisco) in 2005 where he provided audit and assurance advisory services to hedge funds, venture capitals and US SEC registered companies in the semiconductor sector among others.     Shin Ito is an Associate of GCA Advisory Corporation. A graduate of Nihon University, he majored in Accounting. He has completed the executive program at MIT Sloan School of management in 2008, and received his MBA in management from Nagoya University of Commerce & Business graduate school in 2009.
    He joined Hongo Tsuji Tax & Consulting office in 2004, and was engaged in tax consulting for various industries for four years, and joined BearingPoint (currently PwC Consultant Co., Ltd) in 2008, where he provided financial & managerial accounting services advice including efficient accounting operations and IFRS conversion mainly for financial institutions. He joined GCA Savvian Group Corporation in January 2010. He is a Japanese CPTA.

Before he started his MBA, Kensuke Oyama worked for Quick Co., Ltd., a human resource consulting firm, where he developed recruiting strategies, job advertising, and branding strategies for various clients. Kensuke Oyama received his MBA in Finance from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University and received his B.A. in Business from the Kyoto Sangyo University.

    Masashi Hongawara is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. Prior to joining GCA Savvian in October 2008, he has experience in bond and credit derivative work for non-Japanese financial firm.

    Ichiro Yasuda is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. He was engaged in the loan business at Okinawa Bank in 1999. He joined and was engaged in the debt valuation related to the disposal of the Non-performing loans at Gracchus & Associates in 2006. Prior to joining GCA Savvian in December 2008, he was engaged in the examination of residential loans for a securitization of RMBS at Morgan Stanley in 2007.
    He received B.A. in Commerce from Waseda University.

    Kazuyuki Yoda is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. He joined GCA Savvian in January 2009. Prior to joining GCA Savvian, he worked for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and ORIX Corporation. His work focused on middle market banking businesses, investment and credit evaluation, risk management, and M&A advisory services. He received a BA in law from Kyoto University.

    Takahiro Shinbashi is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. In 2003, he joined Kanazawa Regional Taxation Bureau, and in 2006 joined Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau where he was engaged in tax inspections and investigations. In 2008, he joined Tower Securities Co. Ltd., where he was engaged in sales duties of investment funds, handled private banking duties. He joined GCA Savvian in February 2009.
    He received B.A. in Economics from Kanazawa University.

    Hidetaka Kojima is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. In 2003, he joined Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. where he worked on the new client development, the asset management business and IPO consulting for various industries. He joined GCA Savvian in March 2009.
    He received MBA from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School of Commerce and Management and B.A. in Language and Area Studies from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.

    Takako Kogawa is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. Prior to joining, she worked for an accounting office where she engaged in structured finance (SPC management) and tax compliance. She joined GCA Savvian in April 2009.

    Toshimitsu Miyachi is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. Prior to joining, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Aarata from 2007 where he was involved in IFRS convergence and US GAAP convergence for financial institutions. He joined GCA Savvian in August 2009.
    He received B.A. in law from Aoyama Gakuin University.

    Ryoto Fukui is an Analyst of Mezzanine Corporation. He joined GCA Savvian Group Corporation in January, 2010. Prior to joining, he worked for Shinsei Bank, Limited from 2007, where he engaged in corporate finance at the headquarter division and its Fukuoka Branch.
    He has a B.A. in Law from The University of Tokyo.

    Terry Li is an Analyst of GCA Advisory Corporation. He joined Dresdner Kleinwort in 2007 as an equity analyst covering technology sectors in Japan, China and Taiwan. Prior to joining Dresdner Kleinwort, he worked for BASF Japan. He joined GCA Savvian Group Corporation in January 2010.
    Terry Li received his B.S. degree from Kyoto University and M.S. degree from the graduate program of the University of Hawaii.

He started his career at Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. in 2003, and worked for the accounting department and the corporate planning department. He joined Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC in 2007, and engaged in statutory audits and internal control support. He joined GCA in March 2010. He is a US CPA.
